RGC is currently calling on all interested parties to submit an expression of interest for the varied volunteer staff roles for the 2011 RGC Junior Breakers program leading up to and including the 2011 QJRU State Championships to be held in September.

 

Positions available for each of the Under 13’s, 14’s, 15’s, 16’s and 17’s include,

 

- Head Coach (x 1)

- Assistant Coach (x 1)

- Manager (x 1)

- Trainer (x 1)

 

To be eligible for a Coaching position, applicants should have as a minimum,

 

- ARU Level 1 Coach Accreditation & current Smart Rugby compliance

- Specialise in either Forwards or Backs Coaching

- Be available to attend all program selection, training and competition dates

 

To be eligible for a Management position, applicants should have as a minimum,

 

- Team management experience in Rugby or a similar role

- Good oral and written communication skills with regular access to email and mobile phone

- Although not required, SmartRugby, Coach Accreditation, First Aid, etc. will be highly regarded

- Be available to attend all selection, training and competition dates

 

To be eligible for a Trainer position, applicants should have as a minimum,

 

- Team Trainer/Strapper/Physio experience in Rugby or a similar role

- Current Level 1 Sports Trainer & Sports First Aid Certifications

- Although not required, applicants with a degree/diploma (completed or underway) in Exercise Science, Human Movement, Physiotherapy, Massage, etc. will be highly regarded.

- Be available to attend all training and competition dates

 

Major Program Dates:

 

- Saturdays May 7 – June 25: Attend Junior Club Rugby fixtures and identify possible squad member

- Sunday 19 June: Attend Junior Breakers Squad trials

- Sunday 17 July: Attend ‘Possible v Probable’ Trial Day (only run if required)

- Beginning Sunday 24 July: 8 Sunday training sessions including trial games

- Saturday 17 September to Wednesday 22 September (TBC): Attend the QJRU State Championships. This includes staying in camp at a venue yet to be determined and providing 24 hour supervision of your squad. Travel, accommodation and some meals will be provided.
