Queensland Schools selectors today named two teams to contest the Australian National Championships at Knox Grammar School in Sydney July 8-13. where Queensland will be the defending champions.
Players based at Gold Coast schools or developed through Rugby Gold Coast programs and competitions make up 11 out of the possible 46 places with Jack, Ross, Ruka, Simon, Will, Tanera, Chris and Alec all from TSS, Nick from Emmanuel College, Dion from Keebra Park State High School and Cayden who has moved north to Nudgee College to pursue his schooling and Rugby Union career. We also have a further 3 players represented in the shadow squad, Maile (a huge result at only 16!), Sam (who's joined TSS from Lismore) and Ayden who attends Keebra Park State High School.
Congratulations to all of the boys on their selection! It's a great honour to represent Queensland and we hope you continue to represent the Gold Coast as you head to Sydney to battle for selection in the Australian Schoolboys side!
