Match Day Manager - Duties, Responsibilities and Protocols. Prelude: It is important to remember that this is a "managing" position which requires a constant overview of proceedings in preparation for the match(es) expected in preparation for the match/es to be played. The MDM should hold a reasonably Senior position within the Club and be conversant with the Competition Rules and QRU Game Day Protocols regarding field layout, markings, boundaries and safety requirements for all concerned. The MDM should wear readily identifiable clothing; a RGC polo-shirt. Game Day Requirements:
The Referee is in control of the Playing Field and the MDM is there to assist. After the second similar incident of Game disruption, the Referee is to blow a "time out" and consult with the MDM, in the centre of the pitch. Both teams shall be directed to the geographical centre of their respective halves. Once the disruption has been identified and overcome, then the game shall recommence at the Referee's discretion. Any further, similar disruption will result, more than likely result in the match being terminated immediately, with standard Judicial procedures being applied. The MDM will be responsible for ensuring that necessary protection protocols are employed to guarantee the safety of Officials and Players alike. Post-Game Responsibilities: The MDM is to ensure that all appropriate paperwork is in hand, including Team Sheets, Judicial Reports and Serious Injury Reports.
