TRAINING DAY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TEAM MANAGERS AND DUTY BOYS RGC CITY FINANCE PREMIER COMPETITION 2007 Team Managers retain overall responsibility for the setting up of the ground for all training sessions. They will be assisted by Duty Boys appointed by the Club Captain(s) on a rotational roster. Club Captains will announce Duty Boys by position (eg locks / centres etc) for the approaching week, each Thursday night at training. The following equipment is generally required for each session and grounds should be set up by 6.00pm to enable training to commence on time. Managers should check in advance with the respective Head Coaches so that Duty Boys can be suitably advised of equipment requirements.
DUTY BOYS: Duty Boys are responsible for the recovery of training balls, scrum machine pads, goal post pads etc at the end of each session and for securing them in the gear rooms. Balls are to be counted and placed in the bags provided. The scrum machine protection cover is to be placed over the scrum machine, when scrum work has been completed. Water bottles are to be drained and stored upside down and bottle caps are to be stored in the container (bucket) provided for this purpose. BULK ICE : Bulk ice is kept in the freezer in the gear room so that ice bags can be made up to treat minor contact injuries. DRESSING ROOMS: Dressing rooms are to be opened for the use of players on training nights and are to be closed and secured at the end of each session. Players should be advised not to leave clothing or other gear or valuables in the change rooms during training, as the rooms are not secured during these sessions. FIRST AID: A First aid kit is available during training to deal with minor injuries. Players requiring treatment should be directed to TEAM PHYSIO or his/her assistant to have the injury assessed and / or treated.
