• On retirement moved to Gold Coast from Dover Heights, Sydney
• Retired as director Alcatel (very large Paris based international company, formally known as STC).
• Alcatel responsibilities as Director Treasury/Risk Management Asia Pacific included treasury, risk control and administration for fourteen countries including Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
• Variety of management roles over 45 years with STC/Alcatel – based in Sydney and working in Paris, Shanghai and variety of European and Asian countries – areas of responsibility/experience during career included accounting, treasury, risk control, commercial negotiations and general management.
• Foundation member of Australian Society of Corporate Treasurers.
• Attained accounting qualifications in 1960’s.
• Initially joined STC from school as a commercial cadet.
